Chong Kun Dang reported third-quarter revenue of 430.7 billion won ($302 million) and operating profit of 23.7 billion won on a separate basis, according to a preliminary regulatory filing announced on the 30th. Revenue increased 0.8% from a year earlier, while operating profit rose 15.4%. The company attributed the improvement to expanded sales of newly introduced products, including Wegovy, an obesity treatment, and Eylea, a retinal disease treatment, alongside established products such as Telmi-Nubo and Imoton. Net profit declined 6.5% to 18.8 billion won, reflecting higher interest expenses and foreign-exchange losses. For the first nine months, revenue reached 1.3538 trillion won and operating profit totaled 61.2 billion won, up 7.8% and 10.2%, respectively, from the same period last year. Cumulative net profit fell 3.6% to 51.6 billion won. Chong Kun Dang signed a domestic co-sales agreement with Novo Nordisk Pharma Korea for Wegovy in September last year and began sales and marketing in October. It signed a domestic distribution and sales agreement with Bayer Korea for Eylea in December and has handled sales, marketing and distribution of the 2-milligram and 8-milligram formulations since January this year.
