CNOOC Limited reported record first-nine-month net production of 593.7 million BOE, up 2.7% year-on-year, with output increasing in China and overseas operations. Unaudited oil and gas sales revenue rose 19.5% to RMB 305.35 billion, approximately $46.0 billion, while net profit attributable to parent-company shareholders increased 16.8% to RMB 119.12 billion, approximately $17.9 billion. The company made five discoveries, appraised 23 oil and gas-bearing structures and started production at nine projects. Vice Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President Huang Yongzhang said CNOOC would focus in the fourth quarter on meeting annual targets, exploration and development, cost reduction, efficiency and lean management ahead of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. The company warned that actual results may differ materially from forward-looking expectations because of commodity-price fluctuations, macroeconomic conditions, competition, climate policies and regulatory changes.
