CNN, CBS News, CNBC and Dow Jones have entered commercial partnerships with prediction-market platforms Kalshi and Polymarket ahead of the U.S. midterm election on November 3. Dune data cited by Bloomberg puts combined election-related trading volume on the two platforms at about $1.5 billion. CBS News selected Kalshi as a prediction-market sponsor, while CNBC’s agreement includes revenue sharing tied to customer referrals and a minority equity investment. The Wall Street Journal has set aside a front-page section for Polymarket’s election odds; an earlier account described the feature as a homepage odds column. Fox and CNN said they will not broadcast election odds during live coverage on election night.
