Global equity funds attracted $10.19 billion in the week ended October 28, extending net purchases to a sixth consecutive week, according to LSEG Lipper data. Inflows slowed from $25.06 billion the previous week as investors grew cautious about the AI trade ahead of earnings from Alphabet, Microsoft and Amazon and questioned the rising cost of their artificial-intelligence build-outs. A rebound in AI and chip stocks, led by South Korea's SK Hynix after record quarterly profit, supported demand for technology and Asian funds. Asian equity funds received $9.9 billion, European funds gained $4.54 billion, and US equity funds recorded $6.65 billion in outflows, their first weekly withdrawal since October 7. Technology funds drew $5.5 billion globally, including $4.54 billion in US technology-fund purchases, while global bond-fund inflows fell to $2.72 billion. Global money-market funds recorded $38.5 billion in outflows, including $47.66 billion from US money-market funds.
