Scroll is considering converting its existing Layer 2 network, a system designed to scale Ethereum, into a permissioned network and migrating SCR and USX to Ethereum’s mainnet. The potential changes were discussed at Scroll’s October DAO monthly meeting, whose contents were disclosed on October 30. Scroll plans to release detailed proposals later, with any transition subject to DAO governance review. The project is also preparing a website where users can check holdings and positions and safely migrate or withdraw assets during the transition. Separately, Scroll’s AI application Compass has launched paid subscriptions on iOS, while its Android version and additional fiat payment options remain under development. Compass API support for different AI models is also expanding.
