South Korea's average gasoline price at gas stations fell for a 24th consecutive week to 1,855.7 won per liter in the fourth week of October, while diesel declined to 1,842.1 won. Seoul recorded the highest gasoline price at 1,901.3 won, and Daegu the lowest at 1,827.3 won. Internationally, Dubai crude rose $2.6 to $114.8 per barrel and gasoline increased $5.1 to $139.2, while automotive diesel fell $3.2 to $173.9. Such changes typically reach domestic stations after two to three weeks. The government has maintained a taxpayer-funded petroleum price ceiling since March, with criticism growing over the lack of an exit strategy; its 11th ceiling remained unchanged from the 10th at 1,784 won for gasoline, 1,773 won for diesel and 1,380 won for kerosene.
