Binance’s He Yi rejected the direct characterization of the exchange’s theft incident as insider theft and said investment often depends on judgment, logical analysis and the ability to identify useful information. She said concerns about Binance’s solvency were understandable because some users were unfamiliar with publicly available figures including trading volume, fees, user numbers and quarterly BNB burns. He Yi also said 60 million U staked in AAVE was not included in Binance’s frozen assets. Completing formal procedures to release that excess collateral could reduce losses by 14 million U, she said.
