xAI has broadly enabled China UnionPay and Alipay payments for Grok subscriptions in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan after a limited gray-release period that began following Cursor's acquisition by SpaceXAI. Because X and Grok use the same payment infrastructure, users can also subscribe to X Premium through Alipay and receive Grok Plus-level access. New Grok subscribers currently receive a 50% discount on their first month. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported, while linking a bank account offers approximately $5 in cash back.
