Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited has identified two fraudulent websites impersonating its official platform and luring users to deposit funds through virtual wallets. The sites falsely claim to provide Faster Payment System (FPS) security support, including refunds, unauthorized-transaction reporting and transaction assistance. HKICL said it does not offer FPS services directly to the public and never proactively contacts individuals, urging users not to share personal or banking information with the fake websites.
