KB Kookmin Bank has secured the financing mandate for Brookfield’s approximately 12.6 trillion-won artificial intelligence computing infrastructure project. Brookfield will establish a special purpose company to acquire infrastructure, including GPUs, and supply it to Naver Cloud under a long-term arrangement. About 10.7 trillion won of the project funding will come from loans. KB Kookmin Bank is leading the underwriting and designed a financing structure reflecting the project’s characteristics and phased investment schedule. Hana, Shinhan and Woori banks, along with NH Investment & Securities, also participated. The transaction is South Korea’s first GPU deal and its largest syndicated-loan underwriting case, according to the existing topic record.
