Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi has exceeded 1 trillion won ($744 million) in cumulative sales just over three years after opening, making it Lotte Department Store’s first overseas retail complex to reach the milestone. Sales hit 100 billion won within 122 days of the January 2024 opening and surpassed 600 billion won in 2025, while quarterly sales have grown by an average of 20%. Visitor numbers have topped 41 million, with average daily traffic above 50,000, and more than 1 million foreign tourists visit Hanoi annually. Located in the capital’s Tay Ho District, the complex combines shopping, culture and entertainment; 52 of about 230 stores made their Hanoi debuts at launch. Lotte Shopping plans to renovate about 50 stores from the second half of this year, adding brands including Matin Kim, WHO.A.U, Marithé François Girbaud, Barbour and Kenzo. It also plans to open the 1,000-pyeong KOREA 360 cultural center next year with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, while considering additional stores in Vietnam.
