Binance co-founder He Yi rejected allegations that personal connections, including ties to Primitive Ventures co-founder Dovey Wan, can secure project listings on Binance. He Yi said the relationship with Wan is not as close as rumors suggest and that even a family connection would not be sufficient. Any project listed solely through personal influence, He Yi said, would expose weaknesses in Binance's review process. He Yi also said only a handful of strong crypto projects have emerged in recent years, counted BNB among them, and noted that investment and trading do not guarantee profits. The broad gains seen in 2017 reflected the favorable conditions of that period.
