Clanker has appointed Toady Hawk as its new CEO as Mask Network takes ownership of the token issuance platform and prepares a relaunch. Created on Farcaster about two years ago, Clanker initially let users issue tokens by posting and tagging @clanker_world before expanding to X. It became one of the highest-volume token launchpads on Base and incubated projects including BNKR, DRB and FAIR. The platform has since gone through a founder dispute, a sale to Farcaster and a handover to Neynar before its acquisition by Mask Network. Hawk said the relaunch will focus on refreshing Clanker's brand while preserving its distinctive style, modernizing features such as stock trading pairs and support for additional chains, and rebuilding trust among developers and traders. Details of the updates and the official relaunch timeline will be announced later.
