Korea Investment & Securities said its Korea Investment Default Option Aggressive Growth BF1 portfolio produced a three-year cumulative return of 100.97% as of the end of September 2026, the highest among default option portfolios offered by South Korean banks, brokerages and insurers. The result exceeded the 57.58% average for aggressive growth portfolios by more than 43 percentage points and surpassed comparable averages at brokerages, banks and insurers. The company attributed the performance to systematic asset allocation and risk management, with the portfolio centered on the MySuper Managed Growth fund, which diversifies across global blue-chip equities and alternative assets. Combined defined contribution and individual retirement pension assets reached 18.516 trillion won at the end of the third quarter, up 44.8% from the end of 2025 and the fastest growth among retirement pension providers. Choi Jong-jin, head of the pension innovation division, said the company would continue supporting subscribers in building stable retirement assets as long-term default option performance becomes a key competitive factor.
