Apple’s annual filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission updates its insider-trading policy to explicitly prohibit employees from using confidential company information to bet or trade on prediction-market platforms such as Polymarket and Kalshi. The ban covers markets involving Apple, other companies, suppliers, customers, manufacturers, sellers and business partners, even when the activity would not qualify as traditional insider trading or a securities transaction under applicable law. Employees are also prohibited from sharing confidential information with anyone who could use it for prediction-market trading. The restrictions include markets tied to unreleased Apple products, including their launch timing, configurations and pricing.
