VeriSilicon has announced its next-generation GCNanoOptimaV 2.5D GPU IP for wearable devices, targeting higher graphics performance and power efficiency within tight memory and resource limits. The design includes dedicated hardware engines for strokes and ellipses, a mesh-rendering architecture that reduces on-chip SRAM requirements, and the DECNano 3.0 compression engine, which improves image quality while maintaining a fixed 2:1 compression ratio. GCNanoOptimaV remains compatible with VeriSilicon's VGLite graphics API and supports LVGL, SVG and PNG, enabling existing applications to be migrated with minimal changes. The GPU IP has already been adopted by several leading industry customers.
