Blockchain security firm Blockaid secured $40 million in funding commitments in early November 2026, days after the largest theft on record from Binance. The Oct. 29 breach caused estimated losses of $6.3 billion, while Binance said approximately $3 billion in assets were frozen. Blockaid said its AI models detected anomalous outflows from Binance hot wallets within two minutes and identified malicious EIP-7702 delegations within 11 minutes. Its earlier analysis found 50 approvals bundled into one transaction from Binance hot wallet "Binance 14." The activity suggested attackers abused signing infrastructure and delegation permissions rather than simply stealing private keys. Blockaid said the incident resembled the February 2025 Bybit attack. The company has previously raised money from investors including Sequoia Capital and GV, but the latest figures represent commitments rather than a fully detailed, closed round.
