Ssangyong Engineering & Construction and Wasl Group signed a memorandum of understanding for about 3.6 trillion won ($2.61 billion; AED 10 billion) in potential Dubai development projects over the next three years. The strategic cooperation agreement covers residential facilities, hotels and mixed-use development projects, building on a partnership that began in 2017. Ssangyong has completed more than 1 trillion won ($725.81 million) in Dubai projects for Wasl, including the Hyatt Centric hotel and the high-end 1(One) Residence complex. Wasl, established by Dubai Real Estate Corporation, owns and manages more than 70,000 residential and commercial units, over 1,343 buildings and more than 5,977 land plots. The companies plan to combine Wasl's development expertise with Ssangyong's engineering and construction capabilities to pursue sustainable development and long-term value creation. Since joining Global Sae-A Group, Ssangyong has expanded major-project orders in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Its Dubai portfolio since 2023 includes six projects worth about 1.4 trillion won ($1.02 billion), including Immersive Tower, the Kifaf development project and Creek Waters, while Atlantis The Royal highlighted its capabilities in complex building works.
