Temu said 91% of more than 100 Korean sellers surveyed in August saw their businesses improve after listing on the platform. The most commonly reported benefits were increased sales volume and revenue, cited by 58%, and access to new customer groups, cited by 47%. The survey found that 85% of respondents worked for companies with fewer than 50 employees, while 94% had already sold through other platforms before joining Temu. Sellers with six months or less of platform experience represented 66% of respondents. Overall, 82% described Temu as a main channel that complements existing sales outlets or supports growth. The ability to reach new customers despite limited brand recognition was cited by 57% as an advantage. Pet Food Gung said its revenue reached about 4 million won in its first month after listing in December last year, with Temu sales now accounting for more than a third of its total revenue. Temu entered South Korea in July 2023 and launched its Local Seller Program for domestic sellers in May last year.
