Seoul apartment sale prices rose 0.07% in the first week of November, extending their advance to 91 consecutive weeks, but the increase slowed from 0.09% the previous week and growth has eased for three straight weeks. The Korea Real Estate Board said price-adjusted listings produced some lower transactions, while demand at large complexes and subway-adjacent properties supported higher contracts. Gangnam, Seocho and Songpa continued to decline, with falls concentrated in major complexes, while gains narrowed in several Han River districts; Mapo rose 0.25%. President Lee Jae-myung said apartment listings were increasing, transactions were falling and actual prices in major districts were declining, later clarifying that he was referring to Gangnam, Seocho and Songpa rather than all of Seoul. Gyeonggi apartment prices rose 0.20% for a second consecutive week, led by Yongin's Giheung District at 0.60%. Seoul jeonse prices increased 0.17%, unchanged from the prior week, widening the gap with sale-price growth to 0.10 percentage points; the year-to-date increases were 9.10% for jeonse and 8.80% for sales.
