Samsung Electronics has invested 1.2 trillion won, about $893 million, through its Future Technology Cultivation Project since 2013. The company honored 10 outstanding researchers for the first time under the long-running program at its annual research forum at The Westin Seoul Parnas in southern Seoul. About 450 researchers, industry experts and policymakers attended discussions on breakthroughs in basic science, next-generation batteries and art.
