Loopscale temporarily halted operations after more than 30,000 malicious API requests per day targeted its SOL and USDC Genesis Vaults over the past week. The Solana-based lending protocol said the shutdown was intended to prevent losses, the affected vaults were replenished, and no user deposits were lost. Loopscale identified four associated wallet addresses and is working with federal law enforcement while assessing the attack and strengthening its security measures. It plans to restore its interface and loan repayment functions soon to reduce forced-liquidation risks, but will not fully resume normal operations until its review is complete. The incident follows an April 2025 exploit that drained approximately 5.7 million USDC and 1,211.4 SOL by manipulating pricing for RateX principal tokens; those funds were later recovered without net user losses. Loopscale launched on April 10, 2025, and holds approximately $85 million to $88 million in total value locked. Its platform provides fixed-rate, overcollateralized loans through an order-book model matching lenders with borrowers. Users are watching for the reopening timeline, new security controls, restoration of repayments and other functions, and a possible post-mortem.
