Apple plans to raise about $7 billion through its first investment-grade bond sale in more than a year, although the final size could change based on investor demand. The company intends to issue seven tranches with maturities ranging from two to 10 years. Proceeds are earmarked for share buybacks, dividend payments and capital expenditures. Apple last issued bonds in May 2025, raising $4.5 billion. The planned deal comes as Microsoft, Oracle and Meta Platforms have raised a combined $50 billion in U.S. markets since the previous week to support artificial-intelligence infrastructure investment. Apple’s debt is rated AA+ by S&P and Aa1 by Moody’s.
