Jin Air and its labor union have reached a tentative agreement on a 2026 wage deal, with increases of up to 2% for covered employees. Negotiators from both sides drafted the agreement on the 4th at Jin Air’s headquarters in Magok, Seoul, and the company announced it on the 6th. General, technical and aircraft maintenance staff would receive increases of up to 2% based on total pay. Cabin crew would receive a 2% increase in base pay and flight allowances, while flight crew would receive a 2% base-pay increase and higher landing pay. The deal must be approved in a vote by association members, after which the increases would apply retroactively to April 2026. The agreement follows Jin Air’s 2019 joint declaration on labor-management cooperation and a 2024 declaration ceremony for integration and mutual growth. Jin Air plans to absorb Air Busan and Air Seoul and relaunch as the integrated Jin Air in March next year, laying groundwork for an integrated low-cost carrier. The company said the agreement reaffirmed trust between labor and management and that it would continue strengthening cooperation based on mutual growth.
