Hana Financial Group held its first meeting with individual shareholders since its founding on Thursday at Place1 in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, with about 30 attendees. The meeting expanded the group's investor-relations activities beyond their previous focus on overseas and institutional investors. Hana Financial said it aims to raise return on equity to 12%, make shareholder returns more predictable under its return framework, repurchase and cancel 949 billion won ($648 million) of its own shares this year, and increase dividends by more than 10% from the previous year. A tax exemption will apply to the year-end dividend scheduled for payment early next year, while annual dividend growth is also targeted at more than 10%.
