Takenos, a Latin American stablecoin financial platform, has raised $7 million in a seed extension led by North Island Ventures and Road Capital Management. Existing investors Variant, Lattice and Reverie also participated, bringing the company's total capital raised to $12 million. Founded in 2022, Takenos operates in Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay and Guatemala, serving millions of users and processing more than $5 billion in annual transaction volume. Its technology stack includes country-specific payment rails and financial licenses, consumer cards and U.S. dollar accounts, enterprise APIs for payroll, remittances and treasury management, and institutional trading desks.
