HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has secured a 630.1 billion-won order, reported at about $430 million, to build four very large ammonia carriers for an African shipowner. The vessels are scheduled for delivery by the first half of 2030. The contract lifts HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering's orders to $21.2 billion for 193 vessels, or 91% of its $23.31 billion full-year target. The existing record previously valued the contract at approximately $464.7 million.
