Shinsegae appointed Lee Seok-gu, CEO of Shinsegae DF, as president of its department store division on November 6. Lee will hold both positions concurrently, while Kim Sun-ho, a vice president and head of Shinsegae Department Store’s Planning and Strategy Division, will lead the Support Headquarters. The company has finalized a structure involving the Support Headquarters, Finance Headquarters and other functions under Lee’s leadership. Shinsegae said the changes are intended to strengthen audit functions, establish system-based management and improve management soundness. The move comes as the National Tax Service has launched a special tax investigation into Shinsegae International and Shinsegae DF.
