Solana Company, a Nasdaq-listed company focused on buying and holding SOL, plans to expand its Hong Kong workforce from fewer than 10 employees to as many as 30 as it pursues opportunities in tokenized assets and digital-asset infrastructure. The company already has its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong and was designated a strategic enterprise last month by the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises. Chairman and CEO Joseph Chee said Asia-Pacific could become a major growth market for Solana's ecosystem, with the company seeking to provide blockchain infrastructure and related services to traditional financial institutions, particularly for real-world asset tokenization. Hong Kong regulators have approved 17 tokenized investment products for retail investors, managing about $1.3 billion, up 34% from last year, Securities and Futures Commission CEO Julia Leung said during Hong Kong FinTech Week. Chee said Hong Kong remains less advanced than the United States in tokenization, but its early-stage market could create opportunities for infrastructure providers. The company expects the next six months to be important for assessing local market growth.
