CertiK confirms part of the $282M stolen in a January crypto theft was laundered through Tornado Cash after being bridged via ThorSwap into Ethereum.
Blockchain security firm CertiK reported that approximately $63 million from the $282 million stolen in the January 10 wallet hack was converted via ThorSwap into 19,632 ETH. Of this, at least 800 ETH was sent to Tornado Cash, a decentralized Ethereum mixer, indicating laundering activity. The trace highlights continued misuse of decentralized services to conceal illicit transactions.
