Hyperliquid previously saw concentrated whale buying in HYPE, but new activity shows a large trader taking the opposite side. According to OnchainLens, a whale deposited $3 million in USDC to Hyperliquid and opened a 10x leveraged short on HYPE worth about $9 million, covering 226,310 HYPE. OnchainLens also said the same whale had previously closed a HYPE short after 48 days with a $197,000 loss. The new trade marks a notable bearish whale position alongside the earlier large-scale accumulation reported on the platform.
