Bitcoin and Ethereum advanced alongside equities after comments from Iran’s president raised hopes of de-escalation, while prediction market pricing reflected rising expectations for a possible U.S.-Iran ceasefire.
Bitcoin climbed above $68,000 and Ethereum moved past $2,100 after Iran’s president said he was prepared to end the war, contributing to a broader risk-on move across markets. The Nasdaq gained more than 3% in the same period. On April 1, Polymarket priced the probability of a U.S.-Iran ceasefire at 38% by the end of April and 53% by the end of May, indicating that traders saw improving odds of de-escalation.
