According to ClearBank, AFM approval granted on April 12 allows it to offer EURC and USDC services for cross-border payments while expanding its Coinbase partnership with FSCS-covered savings accounts.
ClearBank said it received approval from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets on April 12 to operate as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA. The Netherlands-based firm plans to launch stablecoin services using EURC and USDC to support cross-border transfers and payments. ClearBank also said it intends to deepen its partnership with Coinbase, including offering savings accounts covered by the UK’s Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
