In an official announcement, Binance said it appointed Thiago Sarandy as general manager for Brazil, which it described as the world’s fifth-largest and Latin America’s largest crypto market. Sarandy joined Binance in 2022 and, according to the company, helped advance Brazil’s first virtual asset platform regulatory bill through work with regulators and lawmakers. He will lead Binance’s strategy and operations in the country as the exchange continues to build its presence in the Brazilian market.
