MetaMask co-founder Dan Finlay said he officially left Consensys on April 23 after spending more than a decade helping build MetaMask, one of the most widely used crypto wallets. He attributed the departure to burnout and said he plans to focus more on family. In noting recent product progress, he also referenced MetaMask’s ERC-7715 advanced permissions feature, an Ethereum token standard proposal that expands how wallets can manage user-approved actions.
