According to Oobit, its Visa-backed virtual Agent Cards let AI agents make USDT payments without human input by drawing directly from Tether’s treasury and avoiding fiat conversion.
Oobit said its new virtual Agent Cards allow AI agents to spend USDT at online merchants that accept Visa, with built-in controls for spending categories, per-transaction caps and merchant-specific limits. In the latest update, Oobit said the cards can execute payments without human input and draw funds directly from Tether’s treasury, removing the need for fiat conversion. The company also said every transaction, including declined attempts, creates a reimbursement record for auditability. Tether is Oobit’s largest shareholder and led the company’s $25 million Series A in 2024.
