Farage argues the payment from Christopher Harborne, a Tether shareholder, was outside parliamentary reporting rules and was tied to personal security before his parliamentary run.
Nigel Farage has rejected demands to disclose a £5 million personal gift from crypto investor Christopher Harborne, saying it did not fall under parliamentary reporting requirements. He told broadcasters on Tuesday that legal advice supported his position. Farage has previously said the money was intended for personal security and was received before he decided to run for Parliament. Harborne is also reported to have donated £12 million to Reform UK, including a £9 million personal political donation described as a record contribution.
