Pump.fun has launched its GO bounty platform, a task-based rewards program tied to memecoins created through the service, with payouts reportedly reaching up to $57,000. The feature could increase activity on Solana by paying users to produce viral promotions, but it is drawing scrutiny over provocative assignments and videos, including reports of head-shaving, heavy drinking, interviews with homeless people and one case in which a user named Arivu tattooed the misspelled code "$boutywork" on his forehead. That typo later became a tradable token, BOUTYWORK, which briefly exceeded a $600,000 market cap and recorded more than $3.5 million in 24-hour volume, underscoring concerns that Pump.fun’s bounty system may encourage risky or exploitative behavior while quickly feeding speculative token trading.
