Fresh data showed $333 million in liquidations over the past day, with longs accounting for $194 million and shorts $139 million, as Bitcoin and Ether made up much of the total.
Crypto markets recorded $333 million in derivatives liquidations over the past 24 hours in the latest update, compared with earlier tallies that exceeded $380 million and previously stood at $363 million. The new breakdown showed $194 million in long liquidations and $139 million in short liquidations, with Bitcoin accounting for $86.9559 million and Ether for $61.0789 million. Earlier updates had cited more than 130,000 traders liquidated, about $208 million in long losses and about $170 million in short losses, while an earlier breakdown showed $233 million in longs and $131 million in shorts. The shifting totals highlight how liquidation data can change across snapshots as volatile price moves in major tokens force leveraged positions to close.
