Gate’s May 2026 private wealth report said 90% of its quantitative strategies were profitable even as geopolitical risks weighed on crypto and stablecoin regulation in the U.S. moved closer to implementation.
Bitcoin fell about 2.9% and Ether dropped more than 11% in May, Gate said in its May 2026 private wealth management report, as geopolitical uncertainty and weaker risk appetite weighed on digital assets even while U.S. equities extended their rally. The exchange said 90% of its quantitative strategies generated positive returns during the month. Gate highlighted its USDT-denominated Interstellar Hedging strategy, which it said posted a total return of 18.6%, delivered gains across all 23 measurement periods and recorded a 100% win rate. The report also said USDT strategy returns averaged 5.2% and that maximum drawdowns in both USDT and BTC strategies stayed well below Bitcoin’s decline in May. Gate framed the month as one in which systematic and market-neutral approaches held up during uneven risk appetite, while also pointing to stablecoin regulation moving toward implementation in the U.S. through work on guidelines for the GENIUS Act.
