Collector_Crypt’s Solana-based marketplace set a weekly volume record and exceeded rival platforms combined as tokenized Pokémon card trading reached about $230 million in May across seven blockchains.
Tokenized Pokémon card trading has been expanding on crypto platforms, with Messari data cited by Decrypt showing about $230 million in May trading volume across seven blockchains, including Solana, Polygon, Base, and BNB, roughly 10 times higher than a year earlier. Within that market, Solana-based TCG card marketplace Collector_Crypt has emerged as a leading venue, setting a new all-time high in weekly volume and surpassing the combined weekly volume of competing platforms across chains. In a related sign of investor interest, the platform’s CARDS token rose from a roughly $200 million market capitalization in early May to above $580 million, with GMGN data showing $5.4 million in 24-hour volume. Founder Tuom Holmberg said the platform’s gacha machines account for 90%-95% of business and helped drive more than $1 billion in sales over the past 18 months.
