SpaceX’s post-IPO surge spilled into crypto and exchange-traded products, while tokenized stock trading hit fresh records and Solana briefly captured nearly all tokenized SpaceX activity.
ASTEROID, a meme coin linked by name to SpaceX’s official mascot “Space Dog,” surged as SpaceX’s post-IPO rally spilled into crypto markets and intensified trading in products tied to the company’s shares. The Ethereum-based ASTEROID jumped more than 140% within an hour and more than 50% within two hours, peaking at a $61 million market cap before later standing near $57.6 million, while a Solana token of the same name rose about 20% to a $6 million market cap. At the same time, Hyperinsight said SPCX-linked crypto trading topped $5.4 billion over the past trading day, with heavy activity on Binance, Trade.xyz and Hyperliquid, while Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said newly launched leveraged SpaceX ETFs drew more than $1 billion in combined first-day volume, including about $281 million for a LeverageShares product. Kobeissi Letter added that on-chain tokenized stock volume reached a record $4.3 billion over the past 30 days, up more than 140% this year, and that after the June 15 SpaceX IPO, tokenized SpaceX shares on Solana topped $100 million in 24-hour spot volume for the first time, with Solana briefly holding 99% market share and Jupiter leading tokenized SpaceX trading.
