A-shares, Hong Kong, Taiwan and U.S. stocks will shut for one day, while some CME and ICE futures contracts end trading early on June 20 Beijing time.
Chinese and U.S. financial markets are set to pause on June 19 as the Duanwu Festival and Juneteenth fall on the same date. BlockBeats said A-shares, Hong Kong stocks, Taiwan stocks and U.S. stocks will all close for one day. It added that certain futures contracts on CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) and ICE (Intercontinental Exchange) will finish trading early at 01:00 and 01:30 Beijing time on June 20, respectively. The overlap creates a rare synchronized holiday interruption across major Asian and U.S. trading venues, a setup that can temporarily reduce cross-market liquidity and shift price discovery into the remaining open sessions.
