The Ethereum Foundation is cutting 54 roles as it restructures around five domain clusters: Protocol, Access, User, Community and Institutional layers. The organization said the new setup is designed to support “scaling self-sovereignty,” a phrase that points to expanding user control over assets and identity without centralized intermediaries, while keeping the foundation “leaner and more focused” on critical work it believes it is best placed to do.
