Blackstone plans to invest $30 billion in artificial intelligence data centers in Japan over the next three to five years, President and COO Jonathan Gray said in an interview with Nikkei. The world’s largest alternative asset manager is also in talks to develop facilities in Japan with more than 1 gigawatt of capacity, a scale that points to growing demand for power-intensive AI infrastructure.
