The San Francisco venture firm is widening its frontier-technology push across blockchain, AI, robotics, energy and fintech while disclosing key crypto holdings and senior staffing changes.
Framework Ventures has closed a $400 million fourth fund, FVIV, focused on frontier areas spanning blockchain, AI, robotics, energy and fintech. The San Francisco venture firm had previously said about half the fund was already deployed and that it recently led Mecka AI’s $60 million round while maintaining major crypto positions in Hyperliquid, Plasma and Sky. In its latest update, Framework disclosed the fund name, promoted Rajiv Patel-O'Connor to general partner, added partners Ryan Barney and Nick Trileski from Pantera and DRW, and said it is recruiting founders in related fields.
