Group 1 Automotive, Inc. said Toyota Certified at Capital Plaza Collision Center in Landover Hills, Maryland, has been renamed Group 1 Toyota Capital Plaza Collision under a nationwide effort to align its U.S. dealerships and collision centers under the Group 1 brand. The company said the rebrand is intended to create a more consistent customer experience and clearer connection to its scale, resources and operating standards, while leaving ownership, staffing, repair capabilities and day-to-day operations unchanged. Group 1 said it has owned and operated the Capital Plaza location since early 2024, and the center continues serving nearby Maryland communities from 6100 Annapolis Road as part of the company’s network of 250 dealerships, 310 franchises and 32 collision centers representing 37 vehicle brands across the United States and the United Kingdom.
