Group 1’s U.S. branding initiative now also includes a Round Rock collision center, where former GP1 Collision Center of Round Rock has operated as Group 1 Collision Round Rock since Jan. 19, 2026, with ownership, staffing and repair operations unchanged.
Group 1 Automotive, Inc. said its nationwide U.S. branding initiative now also includes Group 1 Collision Round Rock, formerly the GP1 Collision Center of Round Rock, which has operated under its new name since Jan. 19, 2026. The Houston-based retailer said the move is part of a broader effort to create a more consistent customer experience across its retail network while preserving local teams, customer relationships and day-to-day operations. The company said it has owned and operated the Round Rock facility as part of its Central Texas operations and that the rebrand did not involve any change in ownership, staffing, repair capabilities or daily operations. The collision center continues to serve customers from 2800 Chisholm Trail Road in Round Rock, Texas, supporting drivers throughout Round Rock, Pflugerville, Austin and surrounding Central Texas communities with collision repair, body work, paint and refinishing, and post-repair support. Brandon Ming, General Manager of Group 1 Nissan Round Rock, said customers have continued to work with the same local team under the new name, with the change intended to provide a clearer connection to Group 1’s scale, resources and operational standards. The update adds to previously disclosed rebrands at a Cedar Park Nissan dealership, where former Cedar Park Nissan has operated as Group 1 Nissan Cedar Park since March 24, 2026, a North Austin Toyota dealership, where former Toyota of North Austin has operated as Group 1 Toyota North Austin since Feb. 19, 2026, a south San Antonio Honda dealership, where former Fernandez Honda has operated as Group 1 Honda South San Antonio since April 23, 2026, an El Paso GMC dealership, where former Shamaley Buick GMC has operated as Group 1 GMC Westside since Feb. 7, 2025, a San Antonio Chevrolet dealership, where Freedom Chevrolet has operated as Group 1 Chevrolet Northwest since Feb. 18, 2026, and in El Paso, where former Shamaley Collision Center of El Paso has operated as Group 1 Collision El Paso since Jan. 19, 2026. Group 1 said its network spans 250 dealerships, 310 franchises and 32 collision centers in the United States and the United Kingdom, offering 37 vehicle brands.
