The retailer said it will keep pursuing the cash-and-stock offer after eBay’s board rejected it, and forecast fiscal 2026 adjusted EBITDA of more than $600 million.
GameStop said it will continue pursuing its roughly $56 billion cash-and-stock offer for eBay even after eBay’s board rejected the proposal. CEO Ryan Cohen made the bid in May and said a combined company could better challenge Amazon, while also indicating that he wants to run the merged company. In a regulatory filing, GameStop said fiscal 2026 adjusted EBITDA is expected to exceed $600 million, compared with $345.4 million reported for fiscal 2025. The company also said more materials on the proposed deal are coming soon.
