The companies said the alliance will combine Domyn’s on-premise and private-cloud AI infrastructure with Cognizant’s enterprise integration capabilities for customers across Europe and the Middle East.
Cognizant and Domyn have announced a strategic partnership to bring sovereign AI to enterprises across the EMEA region, targeting regulated industries that need to keep data inside client-controlled environments while meeting European compliance requirements. Under the arrangement, Domyn will provide the infrastructure layer, including large language models that can run on-premise or in private cloud, while Cognizant will handle application development, systems integration, domain adaptation, and the data preparation work needed for enterprise deployment. The companies said they will jointly pursue customers across UK & Ireland, DACH, Northern Europe, and Southern Europe and the Middle East. Cognizant said the tie-up fits its AI Builder strategy and highlighted more than 60 AI patents, 1,500-plus industry-specific agents, and an AI Lab across San Francisco and Bengaluru. The announcement also cited Gartner (research and advisory firm), which said geopolitics is driving demand for sovereign AI and forecast that by 2029, 50% of cloud AI workloads will move to sovereign cloud AI deployment models, up from 5% in 2025.
